Monica S Martinez is a strong and brazen woman of Hispanic descent who has gone off the beaten path to find an alternate method of engaging individuals who feel misunderstood and sexually stagnant. Using workshops based on sexual relations, Monica is empowering people with a philosophy that can also be used to help keep families together. Like many others, while growing up, she faced a great deal of racism and sexism. Due to multiple abusive struggles at home, she was forced to move in with her aunt at a young age. Later in life she struggled with relationships. After a failed marriage, the “Tantalizing Angel” set on a journey to embrace all aspects of who she is. She moved beyond her inhibitions and gained confidence in who she was, along with her sexuality.
Eventually, Monica would take it one step further in 2004. It was then that she started an in-home party business promoting adult novelties. Her company, Tantalizing Productions, provides women and men with educational information to help keep their relationships alive, spicy and fun. Many famed old adages and scientific studies have proven a healthy sexual lifestyle can save a marriage, which, in turn strengthens family bonds. After hearing numerous stories ranging from tantalizing to humorous, she found herself gravitating towards her first passion, writing.
Tantalizing Erotic Thoughts and Encounters is a series of short stories that will take you on a personal journey of discovery. She has since released three more books and has published the books of two Authors.
Monica has develop a strong presence within the poetry community, where she uses spoken word to further her outreach and reveal her life, loves and pains. She has performed throughout the tri-state area, as well as within other states. Her poem “Insecurity” was used in Fairfield University for their Domestic Violence program in 2012. Her work has been published in Unidos and Posh magazines, just to name a few. In 2014, Monica won Best Erotica Spoken Word at The National Poetry Awards. And has been spotlighted from many publications ever since. With all that she does with her time, she still manages to give back to the community. As a board member of LatinosNYC – a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives by providing food, clothing, books and more – she is helping to feed the homeless and to bring hope to the less fortunate.
In 2016, she released a nonfiction novel, Seasonal Husband that speaks volumes to the woman searching for inspiration and empowerment to remove herself from a abusive relationship and find to find herself feeling better about life and love.
Along with her poetry troupe The Tantalizing Angels, she sets the stage for erotic poetry that gives new meaning to ‘seduction.’ Her Tantalizing Angels NYC annual erotic poetry showcase “The Art of Seduction Expo & Masquerade Event” – which traveled to Philly this past February 2016 – offers a safe, friendly environment for erotic poetry lovers and erotica fans to release their inhibitions and enjoy being themselves out in the open.
