From the moment I walked through the entrance to the theater, DJ Soul brought culture into the room with the sounds of meringue, salsa, hip-hop, house… every style of music that induces rhythm in your hips and rejuvenates your soul. Every music-lover would have enjoyed the music alone, even if there were no show. The opened-arms and smiles on friendly-faced people welcomed the people and warmed our spirits.
Light and LOVE was palpable in that theater that night; long before the show began. And when it did…
The Full Circle Ensemble, and their phenomenal, edu-taining (educating/entertaining) special guest poet, Peggy Robles-Alvarado, opened our eyes to TRUTH and CHANGE. With each performance there was a message with a “Misconception” that we can all relate to now or at some part in our lives have related to. Each performer appeared to be on a mission (possible) that night. A mission to spread the word: a CHANGE is needed in the world. A change in our personal lives, our work lives, our social lives, in our communities, and in our world.
