Karina G-Lopez Presents: “The Pen, Pad & Poet Workshop – Teen Mentoring Night” – April 17, 2015.
In support of the NEXT GENERATION OF POETS AND WRITERS, Karina G-Lopez presents to you her students from her writing class.
“My students are really excited. And I hope that you are too!!! They have been writing a lot for the past few weeks. I hope you can all come out and support the next generation of poets and writers!” – Karina G-Lopez
The purpose of this workshop is to get teens (the youth) involved in creative writing. And to connect them with the poets that they look up to and learn from by watching. For the event, each established poet will mentor each mentee on their writing and together will present their poem on the mic. (There will be a short Open Mic after.)
Teen Workshops and Open Mic occur EVERY WEDNESDAY from 5-7pm. Mentoring Nights occurs every 6 months; 4pm(Mentors); 5-7:30pm(featuring established poets who will mentor teens).
