Hosted by Poets, Empress Poetry and Negus Adeyemi of Spoken Word with Friends.
In honor of National Poetry Month, poets, from all around, are invited to come together under one roof for “POETS UNITE.” Spoken Word with Friends, NYC has put together this event to welcome ALL artists to come out and celebrate THE ART of POETRY. “POETS UNITE” invites writers, poets and lovers of poetry to come out and share the mic with fellow poets. Step up to the open mic and share your poetry along with your favorite poet or a poet you’re soon to become a fan of. Network – see old friends – meet new friends – connect… through poetry.

The “POETS UNITE” Open Mic will be available for novice writers and veterans to USE YOUR VOICE and share your work. Each person will be allotted 3-minutes for reciting a poem, rhyming, singing, storytelling… It’s whatever you want to do. As long as you respect the mic…“POETS UNITE!”
