ABOUT THE FULL CIRCLE ENSEMBLE NYC:
The Full Circle Ensemble NYC is a Bronx community organization that has created a safe haven for artists of all walks of life, to come together and express their life through writing. Writer/Curator, Latanya DeVaughn created “The Sunday Writing Circle” and The Full Circle Ensemble to provide writers (of all levels) an opportunity to come together and partake in writing and performance workshops — culminating with an epic performance production after each cycle, like no other.
FCE has successfully sold out shows for both their “From the Page to the Stage” and “Misconceptions” productions, both showcased at The National Black Theater in Harlem.
The Sunday Writing Circle recently began their 5th-cycle and are preparing for their 3rd poetic, theatrical production.
ABOUT THE NEW SMOKIN’ WORD OPEN MIC SERIES:
“Smokin’ Word Open Mic Series” features poets, musicians, and artists of all walks of life, whose art carries a message for the people. The ELKAT Productions team collaborates with each featured artist to create a unique production for the showcased artist, setting a different tone from month-to-month.
FYI: Open mic list gets filled up quickly, so get there early!
