WHAT IS LATINOSNYC?

LatinosNYC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to enriching lives by providing food, clothing, books and more. Rooted in the multitude of identities that make up the Latino culture of New York City, they utilize art, live performances and community events to bring about awareness; to raise funds for their charity services and for the collection of goods/donations (school supplies, winter wear, canned food, etc.), to help build the people of the community and to help feed those that go hungry.

LatinosNYC-Spotlight

With a network that spans the globe, an experienced team of board members and the support of the city’s finest artist to showcase, we’re proud to say every season our reach becomes broader and more effective and we continue to help those less fortunate, either here or afar.

Since becoming a 501c(3) non-profit, LatinosNYC continues to build with other like-minded individuals and organizations. For the past four years, they have been able to support the Citizens Day Care in Harlem by providing books and toys, for 3 Kings Day, for over 200 kids. It is the shared team’s goal to raise the bar each year and help more people than they did the last.

As of August of 2015, LatinosNYC was nominated for the Troy Poet Lewis Community Outreach Award and for Open Mic of the Year. That, is an awesome achievement for “a grass root organization, always helping others in LIFE” (Raul K. Rios) — thinking outside the box — figuring out ways to find solutions to an ever-growing problem via LatinosNYC’s Poetry Open Mic @ Nuyorican Poets’ Café.
