[Updated March 17, 2018] The Girl With The Smile – A Collection Of Poems by VANESSA CHICA – raw, sensitive, emotional, humbling, brilliant, love, poetic beauty.
Vanessa Chica Ferreira writes from deep soul searching. As you read her poems, you sense that with every line she met more of herself with sweet emotion. In her poetry book The Girl With The Smile – A Collection Of Poems by Vanessa Chica, her honesty and humility is awe-inspiring. She writes of family, culture, childhood, heartbreak, loss, forgiveness, passion, body image, vulnerability, acceptance, self-love. And her words express love with such depth; to the point that you fall in love with them — connecting to her poems – finding yourself hidden between the lines – finding comfort in how they inspire you to move forward.
The message you receive from The Girl With The Smile: Love. And continue moving forward towards love.
This Is Us
This is me
Disconnected from her womb
Trying to make my way back
Before she’s gone
Knowing that cannot be possible
This is us
This is me
I love you, Mami – by Vanessa Chica
