With Mother’s Day around the corner, what better way to celebrate your Mother, yourself as a Mother or any Mother you know, than to see “Chronicles of Unsung Heroines” – a poetic, theatrical-play dedicated to uplifting, empowering, giving a voice to and honoring MOTHERHOOD?
In “Chronicles of Unsung Heroines,” five poetically-powerful Women – together on one stage – show the true meaning of being MORE. These Women are artists, writers, award-winning poets, friends, sisters, daughters, students, educators, caregivers, healers, community leaders, activists… and most importantly, they each share in DOing one of the hardest jobs known to mankind. They are MOTHERS. And just like so many of us Mothers, they each have a story that should be told. Come out and hear their stories of LOVE, making sacrifices, hardships, struggles, and triumphs through Spoken Word Poetry. Listen and hear parts of YOUR OWN stories come alive on the stage. Open up – connect – feel – laugh – cry – understand – applaud – and celebrate. You are sure to enjoy witnessing that we are ALL blessedly living in this MOTHERHOOD together.
MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR/PRODUCER:

Howard, Star Angel, Cindy AnaCaona Peralta, Jani Rose and Shamecca ‘Nzingha Jane’ Long as they perform in celebration of one of the most underrated professions in the world, Motherhood. They will make you laugh and cry from the sheer emotion, and ultimately leave you breathless as they redefine Motherhood with their theatrical/spoken word performance.”
This will be a pre-Mother’s Day ‘get-together’ that you’ll be speaking of with your friends, family and loved ones for years to come. It may inspire you to share your story. Bring the Mothers, aunts, sisters, girlfriends, family, friends… bring ANYONE in your life that you know will enjoy a poetic, theatrical-play, celebrating WOMEN and MOTHERS! Men… males…yes, bring them, too! Celebrating the hard work that goes into being a Mother is encouraged and welcomed for ALL to do!
Another great reason to come out to “Chronicles of Unsung Heroines,” is to give back — help support M.O.M.S – The Mothers of Mt. Sinai. All proceeds are donated to The Mothers at Mt. Sinai program for Mothers and Children.
