Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, come out and celebrate National Poetry Month with “Bronx Stories!” Use your voice — share the OPEN MIC with some of NYC’s HOTTEST Spoken Word Poets!

Bronx Stories

In Celebration of National Poetry Month, “Bronx Stories” brings you an evening of Spoken Word Poetry features, an Open Mic and Artwork inspired by the one-and-only Bronx. This special event will feature poets: EL David of Machete Movement, Julissa Rodriguez, and Tony Wallace aka “Mental Sins.”

This special event is produced in collaboration with Poet, Author, and Bronx Museum Community Advisory Council member, Monica S. Martinez: www.monicamartinez.org.

Come out and celebrate ART! “Bronx Stories” will leave you with a new perspective of living Bronx-style. Share YOUR STORY! Witness the grit – the beauty – the gifts – the culture – the community – and why it’s called “the boogie down Bronx” in the stories of the people from The X!
