Yamocuno Yucayeke Presents: The 7th-Annual Taino Awards which will include: special exhibits – highlight award-winning storytellers & lecturers – special performances – poetry – music – artisans – raffles of beautiful artwork – delicious foods/desserts – along with the awards ceremony.
In celebration of the 7th-Annual Taino Awards, the evening’s festivities will consist of:
*Special Exhibit: Mis Abuelos Ayer Y Hoy (Ceremony Dedicated to our Grandfathers)
*Highlighting: “Dujo Award” Winning Storytellers & Lecturers
*A Special Performance: “2012 Choreographer of the Year” – Milteri Tucker
*Surprise Performances
*Music: William Ruiz and The Group
*Food: Catering by Chef Flora with Desserts by Eva Jay’s Sweets
“A beautiful piece, created by Award winning artist Ferdinand Uaian Bruno specifically for the 7th-Annual Taino Awards. He has named it “The Storytelling Sun”, and it will be raffled the night of the ceremony. This year we are highlighting past Dujo Award honorees (lecturers/storytellers), and they will be sharing with us some of their favorite stories.” ~ Shihan Candy Warixi Soto
