They present annual showcases of new work in theater, dance, poetry and film that spark dialogues on critical issues of immigration, economics, and urban survival. The Best of Brooklyn Gypsies’s signature festival, Ghetto Hors D’Oeuvres, is coming to Harlem this August for a one-night only benefit to support Brooklyn Gypsies Collective 2016-2017 Season!
The acclaimed Brooklyn Gypsies festival series has grown into a local legend since its inception in 2012, and now for the first time ever, Brooklyn Gypsies is bringing The Best of Ghetto Hors D’Oeuvres Uptown for this one-night-only, one-of-a-kind benefit performance.
An all-star lineup will converge from all over the city to our special Harlem mansion location to dazzle attendees with the signature Hip-Hop/Spoken Word collaborations that have made Ghetto Hors D’Oeuvres a staple of the innovative arts scene in New York City. Backed by our very own DJ Andre Mayes and the BKG house band, we invite you to join us and to celebrate the end of the summer.
7pm-10pm – Ghetto Hors D’ourves: Gala – performances, silent auction, house-band, prize raffle, and food catered by DR Heights
General Tickets: $50
VIP – ‘All the way up!”: $100 (includes open-bar).10pm-12am – After-party Turn up! – Live DJ, dancing, bar.

The benefit will support our 2016-2017 Season. This year, we’re bringing our progressive, multicultural brand of theater to The Wooster Group, The Bushwick Starr, JACK, and across the river to our friends in New Jersey at Art House Productions in downtown Jersey City.
