What makes “The Art Of Conversation NYC” different?
“The Art Of Conversation NYC” meshes open conversation with poetry and live music. The audience becomes part of the show — where they interact with artists live on stage. In turn, the artists receive feedback on the work presented to the audience.
On Saturday, April 25th @ 6:30pm at the Brooklyn Swirl, “The Werdsman” brings to you, “The Art Of Conversation NYC: Portrait Of Words” Open Mic featuring Tuan X, with special guests: Noni Rene & Marie Michaelle.

“The Most Interactive Open Mic in NEW YORK CITY is THE ART OF CONVERSATION! This is the ONLY Open Mic where the audience is a part of the show! Not only will you hear from some great artists and musicians but YOU as the audience get to ask questions and make comments! Being a traveling artist, I’m always amazed at the amount of talented artists that I have met across the region.
So I thought: “What would happen if I featured artists from various cities ALL IN THE SAME NIGHT?!” You’d have a dope night of performances! So the format: The first hour of AOC NYC: our open discussion on current events and then open mic with discussion, and we going into our EPIC feature set with Q&A. We’re going into National Poetry Month with a dope showcase.
WITH the FEATURE, he brings a unique element as he is a man of many talents actor/poet/emcee/graphic designer and a wrestler; all around Crazydopetastic (yeah that phrase is trademarked), Brooklyn’s own Tuan X. And OUR POETIC and MUSICAL spotlight all the way from Queens and Rhode Island respectively – Noni Rene & Marie Michaelle – the Revelry in “The Art Of Conversation NYC” & National Poetry Month with some DOPE PERFORMANCES.” ~ The Werdsman
